software design and evolution group

Mission

Software design requires effort and intelligence from people to create software that is useful to people. And useful software is constantly evolving. The mission of the aside @ ufba research group is to investigate essential and accidental issues related to software, software practices, and software people, in the context of software design and evolution, to identify, characterize, develop and evaluate models, principles, practices, and tools so that people are able to create, construct, analyze, validate, reuse, modify, manage and deliver software for the benefit of people.

Our Group

The aside @ ufba research group gathers people that work (and enjoy themselves while working) on research topics mainly related to (though not exclusively) software design and evolution. The aside @ ufba group is one of the five research groups of the Software Engineering Lab (LES-UFBA), and is part of the Computer Science Department (DCC-UFBA) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), Brazil. See the Computer Science Graduate Program (PGCOMP-UFBA) for information about the MSc and Ph.D. programs.
